Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors in the United States, where that state has an active JCI Senate program (see www.usjcisenate.org[under scholarship tab] for a listing of eligible states).You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this scholarship. This package contains information and directions for applying to the United States JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship Program. Each year (April) $1,000 grants will be awarded to graduating high school seniors in the United States, who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually will be at the discretion of the United States JCI Senate Foundation. The monies must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study. Checks awarded will be made out in the name of the recipient and the educational institution of their choice. Something that is not on the application is that each applicant needs to include an official ACT score if they want to be considered for the National scholarship.   Instructions for applying for the US JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship   Please read the following points carefully. Failure to comply will be cause for disqualification.   Submission preference will be in a Microsoft Word compatible format.Typed or neatly hand printed (blue or black ink only) submission will also be accepted.                     You may include additional sheets to continue the information for these areas as needed Employment Personal Statement (300 to 500 words) Continuation Pages for section 6-7 (if applicable) College or University Acceptance Letter (if applicable) Supporting documentation of your choice (awards, certificates, articles, pictures, etc). Limit five (5) sheets Reference Letters – 3 Signature Transcripts (grades and state / national test scores)                     Your personal statement is limited to 500 words.Any more than 500 words will not be judged. Reference letters are limited to three (3) letters with a maximum length of one (1) page (one side only) each. Included in this application package are all the necessary forms.Your application packet pages must be submitted in order as listed below.Failure to comply will be cause for disqualification. Sign the bottom of the Personal Statement section Your name must be on the top of each sheet in the package, along with a page number. When using a MS-Word compatible editor, enter you name in the ‘Header’ section.    Each student must have an active, working email address listed.PLEASE PRINT. All materials MUST be submitted under one cover. Materials sent in multiple mailings will NOT be accepted. Your application must be postmarked no later than January 22, 2021 to the State Scholarship Chairman listed under your state. NO electronic submissions will be accepted. Do not include these first two pages of instructions in your reply.       Your application will be evaluated by persons outside of your area so do not use acronyms for items such as; clubs, programs, event, or awards where they are not national programs. Where the name of the item is not self explanatory, include a description.Example: REACH or J. Doe Memorial Award, should include a description such as: St. Thomas Methodist REACH program to feed the homeless, J. Doe Memorial Award for Top Female Tennis player. You must include a small head shot photograph for use in our National publications. This photo should be the first page of your application.Please put your name and state on the page under the picture.By signing the application, you agree that your name and photo may be used as part of the public relations of the US JCI Senate, the US JCI Senate Foundation and their affiliates such as the associated state programs. To submit your application package: Refer to the website www.usjcisenate.org under the scholarship section.  Locate the state where you live and submit your application to the state chairman.   The due date is postmarked January 22, 2021.  If your state is not listed, you are not eligible.   Do not submit the application to any address on the web page except those under the State Scholarship listing section (packages submitted to the wrong address will not be forwarded). The Missouri Gaming Association is pleased to announce the 2021 Project 21 Scholarship Program.  This is the twenty-fourth year the scholarships will be awarded.  The goal of the scholarship program is to not only to inform our youth that it is not permissible in Missouri for persons under the age of 21 to gamble in a casino, but also to educate them about the dangers and consequences associated with underage gambling. The Project 21 Scholarship Program provides Missouri students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling.  One (1) $2,500.00 first prize scholarship and Three (3) $1,500.00 second prize scholarships will be awarded. We would ask that you distribute the attached scholarship application to all Missouri High School Seniors who might be interested in applying for the scholarships using the criteria outlined in the application. The Patriot Guard Riders of Missouri are offering four scholarships to Missouri students who are sons or daughters of those who fall within the following categories: (1) Those who have given their lives in the line of duty, including both military and first responder (police/fire) (2) Those honorably discharged veterans who have passed after their term of service (3) Those veterans or first responders disabled in the line of duty to the extent that providing an advanced education cannot be easily realized These scholarships are non-renewable, and consist of one award in the amount of $2,000, and three awards in the amount of $1,000 each, to be awarded to four deserving Missouri students to help defray cost at any accredited institution of higher learning, including vocational and business schools. The ESA Foundation offers more than 200 scholarships annually for students in the United States, as well as internationally, who meet the criteria of individual endowments. After applications are received, they are reviewed for completeness and verification and if they meet any specific criteria. These applications are then submitted to judges throughout the United States who are interested in education. These judges are not members of ESA Foundation or Epsilon Sigma Alpha International. The information about the scholarships, requirements and applications is available on our website: www.epsilonsigmaalpha.org/scholarships-and-grants. The application submission process is done online. To find scholarships currently available, click on the current list of ESA Foundation Scholarships available by the state in which you reside. Click on your state to learn which scholarships are available to you. There are scholarships available for trade schools and community colleges, as well as undergraduate degrees.  Completed applications are accepted online beginning September 1, 2020 and ending on February 1, 2021 at 11 p.m. MST to be considered for the scholarships this academic year. The Optimist Club of Marble Hill presents the Optimist Essay and Oratorical Contests These contests are open to students under the age of 19 as of October 1, 2020. Local winners will advance to higher level competitions, earn scholarships prizes and gain experience  in writing and public speaking. Local students recent years have won at district and national levels, earning thousands of dollars in prizes  The Essay topic for this year is “Reaching your DReams by Choosing Optimism.”  Contest rules and entry forms are attached and also will be sent by email to language arts teachers. The District price is $2,500. Essays must be submitted by january 23, 2021. Point of contact  is Suw Brewer, 235-0045 or Sugarhill45@hughes.net.  The Oratorical topic for this year is “Healing the World with Optimism.” Contest rules and entry forms are attached and also will be mailed to speech teachers. The local oratorical contest will be late February , with a specific time and place to be announced. The winner at the World competition can win as much as $22,500 in prizes. The point of contact for  the oratorical in Kenneth Shrum, 238-5343 To give students practice in following rules, organization of thought and communicating through writing, the Optimists have conducted a parallel consent for middle-school students and will continue to do the same this year. Financial need can be considered in selecting the recipient but students are not required to complete a FAFSA. Applicants must submit 10 photographic images of their artwork for review, and a 500-word statement of their goals in art, interests, and plans for the future. The portfolio of 10 images must be saved and submitted as one file that is under 10MB. The file format can be a PowerPoint, PDF, or Word Document. Katherine Cochran Art Open to freshmen art students. Applicants must submit 10 photographic images of their artwork for review, and a 500-word statement of their goals in art, interests, and plans for the future. DCF Art The recipient of this scholarship will be a student enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University and a U.S. Citizen and a permanent resident of the state of Missouri. Also must be in the graphic or commercial arts department, or in art education and member of either the junior or senior class. Emmett and Gladys Duff Art The recipient of this scholarship will be a student enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University at the Sophomore level or above, pursuing a BS in Education with an Art major, and maintaining at least a 3.0 overall academic standing. Scholarship is to be awarded to one student per year until award amount is greater than tuition and fees at which time additional scholarships may be awarded. Martha Erlbacher Endowed Art The recipient of this scholarship will be a student enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University majoring in Art Education from Cape Girardeau County or Scott County. Applicants must have completed a minimum 30 hours overall credit with a 3.0 GPA. Applicants must submit 10 photographic images of their artwork for review, and a 500-word statement of their goals in art, interests, and plans for the future. The portfolio of 10 images must be saved and submitted as one file that is under 10MB. The file format can be a PowerPoint, PDF, or Word Document. Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts To be awarded to student pursing degrees in Music, Art, Theatre and Dance. Dr. Mary Ann Kellerman Scholarship in Interior Design To be eligible, students should be majoring in Interior Design and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Grades (50% weight), need (25% weigh), and involvement and leadership in student and community organizations (25% weight) will all be considered in the selection process. Dorothy Seabaugh Knehans Art Open to students majoring in Art Randy Leiner Scholarship is awarded to a resident of Cape Girardeau County or Scott County who is an art or music major. Naomi Sago Oelsen Interior Design Open to Interior Design students with a 3.0 GPA who merits this award through academic performance. Financial need will be considered. Clifford F. and Mary Kathryn Rudesill Memorial Art Scholarship First preference is for a Southeast Missouri State University student pursing a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Fine Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Education degree within the Department of Art and Design from Cape Girardeau, Perry, Scott or Bollinger Counties. Second Preference is for a Southeast University student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Fine Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Education degree within the Department of Art and Design. Charles & Mary Ellen Sharp Scholarship for the Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship recipient must be student at Southeast Missouri State University pursuing an undergraduate degree in the Visual Arts or Performing Arts, having completed 45 credit hours with a minimum overall 3.0 GPA.

I have brochures in my office for more information. https://haganscholarships.org/application/ The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, designed to provide each recipient with the opportunity to Graduate College Debt-Free. There is NO Application Fee. Hagan Scholarship recipients are high achieving, self-motivated students who will require substantial financial assistance to attend college. The Hagan Scholarship provides up to $48,000 over four years. Below is eligibility requirements. 2020-2021 Eligibility Requirements ACT and SAT scores are not required. Must attend an Eligible Public High School. FAFSA EFC must not exceed $6,500. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have achieved a 3.75 CGPA based on a 4.0 Scale. Must be ranked by the school and in the top 20% of the high school graduating class. Must enroll at an eligible four-year college or university the first semester following high school graduation. Must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of each year of college. Must apply for eligible Federal and State grants. Must not have a felony conviction. The intended recipient of a Hagan Scholarship is a high-achieving goal driven student in need of financial assistance to attend college.
